A Friday afternoon well spent. We are usually down at Sighthill most Fridays for a casual social game of five-a-side, but this past Friday had a bit more energy behind it as we took part in the Edinburgh Business Fives tournament.
It was a brilliant afternoon from start to finish. We came up against some fantastic teams, but having our own colleagues along on the touchline to cheer us on made all the difference.
We were genuinely proud to take home the fundraising trophy for the tournament, having raised £755. To make it even better, ClearSky stepped in to double our efforts, bringing our final contribution to £1,510.
All of that money goes directly to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity to support the incredible work they do for young patients and their families.
The sporting momentum is well and truly flowing now, and we are already looking ahead to our next challenge in October. We will be swapping the turf for the tarmac in an Edinburgh run, with people taking on both 5k and 10k routes to keep raising money for the hospital.
It was a fantastic way to round off the working week, and a team we are all really proud to be part of.
